Beer Meets Whiskey: A Conversation with Local Makers

Thursday, May 15th, 6:30pm – 8pm 

Join us for a unique evening at Old Line Spirits as distillery co-founders Mark McLaughlin and Arch Watkins sit down with Ken Praay, owner of our neighboring brewery, Monument City Brewing Co., for a deep-dive discussion into the worlds of brewing and distilling.

Over drinks and good company, they’ll explore the shared roots and distinct paths of beer and whiskey production—from grains and fermentation to flavor development and aging. This exclusive night is curated especially for our Quarterdeck Whiskey Club Members.

The distillery bar will be open during the event, so grab your favorite cocktail or a cold Monument City beer and settle in for the conversation. We’ll also open the floor for a Q&A, giving you a chance to ask your burning questions about what goes into every pour.
