Rum and Redaction with Novelist Jung Yun and Poet Thea Brown

Join us Friday, Feb 25th, for Rum and Redaction, a reading series hosted by Lindsay Bernal featuring Novelist Jung Yun and Poet Thea Brown. We’ll create a signature cocktail for each author for the evening.

Jung Yun is the author of O BEAUTIFUL (St. Martin’s Press, 2021), which was a New York Times Editors’ Choice and Group Text selection, and SHELTER (Picador, 2016), which was long-listed for the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize and a finalist for the Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Award. Her work has appeared in Tin House, The Massachusetts Review, The Indiana Review, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Review of Books, among others. Currently, she serves as an assistant professor of English at the George Washington University.

Thea Brown is the author of three collections of poetry: Think of the Danger (H_NGM_N 2016), Famous Times (Slope Editions 2019), and Loner Forensics, which is forthcoming from Northwestern University Press in 2023. Her poems can be found in LitHub, Denver Quarterly, the Iowa Review, Vinyl, and elsewhere. She lives in Baltimore with her best pal, Nate Brown, and their cats, Steve Brown and Count Dracula.
